25 years old, suffering from erectile dysfunction for at least 5 years. Is there any help for me?

First off, no I haven’t been to a doctor due to the fact I can’t afford the medical insurance. Secondly, I worry about dating someone now because of ‘that problem’. It works, but it takes a lot of work for my girlfriend to get it running again; even then its hard to maintain. And I haven’t had that active of a sex life, ever. I’ve had some pretty awful relationships and was mentally abused for this problem in the past… Please list your thoughts.

Chosen Answer:

First, let me ask if you wake up with a firm morning erection, if you do
this would show that physically everything is working.
At 25 this should be a regular occurrence, if this isn’t happening it could be do due to a variety of physical problems.
There are clinics that will charge you on a sliding scale, understand that you will not be seeing them just because of e.d., but because the
e.d. could be symptomatic of a worse problem.
Now if you get the morning “wood” but then have e.d. when you need to perform it could be due to performance anxiety or depression.
You may be able to get some good books at your local library to help on both of these problems. I would advise books over the internet as there is a lot of bad information on some sights.
In the mean time if you smoke, quit and if you don’t exercise start, take some walks at a fast pace, if you can try some running as this will
get your heart pumping more efficiently and that can help your problem
I hope this helps.
